The couple admitted to wrapping their week-old child during a blanket, placing him during a bucket and hiding it during a shed behind their home after finding him dead around July 29, consistent with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
Roland and Donna Grabowski reportedly told their friends that the newborn died of sudden sudden infant death syndrome syndrome, but the doctor has yet to work out the official explanation for death.
Before their confession, the suspects repeatedly tried to hide up their son’s death, telling investigators at one point that a family friend was watching the baby, consistent with an arrest affidavit obtained by local news station WFAA.
Authorities launched an investigation last week after learning about an unreported death of an infant within the city of Princeton, about 40 miles north of Dallas.
But the couple wasn't home, and detectives soon learned that they had traveled to Dallas.
When contacted by authorities, the suspects began pressuring their friends to copy their lies, consistent with the bench warrant .
“I need you to mention your baby is ours,” they reportedly wrote during a text message to a lover . “Quick in and out. they only got to see.”
Donna Grabowski, 41, also lied about her son being born at a hospital that had no record of her being there, authorities said.
She and her 42-year-old husband were arrested late Saturday, once they finally admitted that the kid , named Micah, was dead.
“It’s tragic and it’s sad enough any time we've the death of an infant, but it’s absolutely reprehensible once you lie and you deceive investigators on the situation of the body,” Sheriff Jim Skinner told WFAA.

The pair was charged with abandonment or endangerment of a toddler , abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence with an intent to impair a person's corpse, jail records show.
Roland Grabowski may be a registered convict who served time in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage girls, ages 12 and 14, consistent with the state’s convict registry.
Skinner said the tragic discovery over the weekend was one among the foremost shocking moments in his career.
“I’ve been during this business over 30 years and I’ve seen tons of crazy things,” he told WFAA. “But this is often the primary time I’ve found a dead infant during a bucket of tar... and hopefully the last.
